Happy days! We’ve been basking in sunny, 70-degree days here in Nashville, and a little extra color has returned to life. Companies are revealing their lovely spring lines, and I definitely have a few favorites so far!
1. Meles Handbag from FashionABLE. With a removable shoulder strap and lined interior, this bag is perfect. PERFECT. Handmade in Ethiopia and providing sustainable jobs for women. $158
2. Millie Smoking Flat from The Root Collective. These popular smoking shoes are now available in lovely pastels for spring. Fairly made in Guatemala by artisan shoemakers. $134
3. Suede Fringe Hipster by JOYN. If you need a bag for summer concerts and festivals, you’ve found it! JOYN products are handmade with transparency in India. $68
4 & 5. Sseko Wedge Sandals. Love Sseko’s ribbon sandals? They are now available as super-stylish wedges. I would combine the wedges with Sseko’s Betty Chiffon Ribbons for a summery, retro style. Sseko products help provide economic opportunity to women in Africa. $65 & $16.
6. City Bag by JOYN. This bag makes me think happy Mary Poppins thoughts. I’m convinced the interior pockets would revolutionize my organizing habits. $114
Shopping thoughtfully means that I often find ways to “make do or do without” when it comes to new fashion, but I’m glad to know there are beautiful, ethical options out there when I’m ready to make my next purchase.
