Earrings: Ten Thousand Villages (fair trade) | Sweater: Hip Zipper (vintage) | Dress: Hepcat Dress via Modcloth (made in the USA) | Bracelet: Handmade Expressions via Thrive (fair trade)
I celebrated my birthday earlier this week, and my sweet husband gave me some beautiful fair trade and locally made gifts. Good job, husband!
We snapped these pictures of the sterling silver earrings he gave me on our way out the door to a dinner with friends.
Recently I’ve been struck again and again with the importance of good friends. To all of you who have mentioned following Fair Fashion Fridays, thank you. I’ve been amazed and grateful to hear from you, and your encouragement is vital to this blog.
My dream for this year is to start a weekly or monthly link-up feature where we can share our efforts at ethical wardrobes with each other. Let me know if you are interested in participating. And for now, you can link in the comments or tag a photo with #fairfashionfri!
P.S. – Happiest of birthdays to my little guy, David, who turns three today!
adorable pictures. You are a beauty!! I’m proud of your work on a worthy cause.
Agree with Kaye – such a beauty inside and out. Love the earrings, too!
Hey Christie! I love your Fair Fashion Fridays posts! I don’t know if you saw, but I recently added a page to my site that highlights products Made In America. All of them are fashion products. If you have suggestions of favorite companies that I should add, please let me know!
Thanks, ladies!
Deborah, your Made In America page has some great-looking brands! Of course my favorites are the Nashville-based ones. 🙂
