socks

Socks: Zkano (made in the USA, organic, sweatshop-free)| Leggings: Old Navy

I wasn’t kidding about the sweater and leggings last week, folks. That was my uniform for this polar vortex week as well. Plus these fabulous socks.

My friend Lisa has been encouraging me in my pursuit of ethical fashion, and she surprised me with these socks for my birthday. She’s a fan of Zkano’s super-cozy organic socks and was excited to share them with me! Thanks, Lisa!

Zkano is a family business based in Fort Payne, Alabama. Their socks are crafted from organic cotton in sweatshop-free facilities. They even donate their manufacturing seconds to an organization helping families in need (okay, now they’re just showing off the awesomeness).

These pink stripy socks are just my style, but if you are more of a sock minimalist, you might enjoy Zkano’s selection of basic white socks. As much as I love adorable fair trade dresses and scarves, finding ethical sources for the basic components I wear every day can be even more exciting.
