I haven’t been the only person pursuing sustainable fashion in my household. My husband has been investing in quality, ethically made wardrobe pieces this year, and he graciously agreed to share a few with us today.
The Bonobos pants were a terrific sale find, and they have just enough stretch to be comfortable while maintaining a good fit. The Alternative shirt and Holstee wallet both feature recycled elements; the wallet is made from upcycled garbage and provides fair wage employment in New Delhi.
Paul’s Nisolo Chukkas, handcrafted in Peru, have become his go-to shoes for work days. He likes the company and their mission so much that he recently started doing consulting work for them.
It can be hard to find sustainable menswear; there aren’t always a ton of choices, especially for the budget-conscious. With research and patience, though, ethically-made clothing for men can be within reach.
