Dress: Namaste
Jacket: H&M
Boots: Dolce Vita for Target
A few years ago my search for a fair trade maxi dress led me to a UK retailer, Namaste, and their maxi dresses made from recycled silk saris. When the dress arrived from across the pond, I was surprised at the pattern and colors — I was expecting a more traditional sari print in pink or red. I gave the dress a shot, though, and continue to receive compliments on the design every time I wear it. One of my staple cover-ups for trips to the pool or the lake, the piece now has a few tears from my adventures with the kids (and from my insistence on machine washing it). I was planning to give the dress away, but in the interest of sustainability, I think I’ll try repairing it and see what happens.
Are you making sustainable style choices, or even sustainable coffee choices? I’d love to see a pic or hear about your latest find! Leave a link in the comments or hashtag an Instagram or Twitter pic with #fairfashionfri.
COULD YOU BE ANY CUTER. nope. The spinning pic is magic.
Thanks, friend!
