I love East Nashville. I’ve had a really great time visiting local places over the past couple of days.
Today Ariana and I went shopping at V Floral and Gift. I found these awesome glitter earrings that made me feel truly outrageous (like Jem), plus a silver star pendant necklace, for a total of $15. Quite the indulgence for me, but not a painful price.
Next door to V is the Pied Piper Creamery, which is due to open within the next couple of weeks. I think it is going to be terrific! Home ice cream and shakes, yummmmmm.
I went to Batter’d and Fried a couple of nights ago to watch a Predators game. To my delight, I found some great, new menu items, such as the Ragin’ Cajun Pasta and the Bread and Butter basket. That particular night I had the hot chocolate, peculiarly served in a beer stein with a large dose of whipped cream. It was just what the cold evening needed.
Oh, and a couple of weeks ago Paul treated me to breakfast at Marche for my birthday. Wow. You must go try it. We shared a bread basket and a quiche and each got our own croissant and hot chocolate. Lovely. And, I might add, the bread was served with a variety of spreads, including Nutella.
Hey Christy, love the blog. I know that we all share an affinity for Bill Hall, East Nashville and Star Trek — but our musical tastes (yours, mine and your hubbies) are pretty much identical. All the way down to old All Star United, Ella, etc.
Cool stuff.
Alan
