I’m feeling uninspired fashion-wise, this week. I’m longing for the sun to show up, longing for everyone in my house to be fever-free, and longing for…..for………
And if I’m going to be eating my emotions, it might as well be fair trade.
See that little blue-and-green logo at the bottom of the Ben & Jerry’s pint? That means that the sugar and cocoa used in the ice cream is grown and manufactured within fair trade guidelines. Ben & Jerry’s is a great way to find a fair trade treat at a local grocery store. If you are more a fan of homemade treats, check the baking section — several of my nearby stores now carry fair trade sugar. And of course there are many terrific brands of fair trade chocolate bars, including Divine Chocolate, Alter Eco, and Equal Exchange.
Do you have a favorite fair trade nosh? Tell us about it in the comments or tag a pic with #fairfashionfri. It’s okay that it isn’t fashion. We’re starting where we are this week. Or at least I am!
You go, Christy! Ummmm – chocolate. Good for all that ails ya! 😉
