Ever see a fashion trend and think, “I am never, ever wearing that,” only to find yourself eyeing it later?

I couldn’t believe the spreads I saw in fashion magazines months ago proclaiming the virtues of “athleisure,” and I was determined to leave sweatpants in the past.

However, late winter in Nashville can be a dreary affair, featuring rain, clouds, and temps in the 30s. I want pants that are warmer than leggings and can take me from the gym to the grocery store. Enter sweatpants.

1.  Ivy Sweatpant, by LA Relaxed. Made in the USA, featuring organic cotton. $72

2.  Ahnya Pants, by Patagonia. Made with organic cotton and fair trade certified sewing. $79

I’m still not sure I’ll take the plunge, but it sure is tempting on gray, chilly days. What do you think? Is athleisure for you?
