Late night sock pic! Socks: PACT Apparel (fair trade, organic)

Honesty check.

I love fair fashion, but I have to admit, I feel drained sometimes by the time and energy it takes.

I struggle to buy clothes for myself anyway — just one of my personality quirks. Add my ethical criteria and my busy mommy lifestyle, and, well, I don’t buy many clothes.

Fairly made fashion is an investment, as it should be. I like the idea of clothes as items to be reused, repaired, and recycled instead of discarded with each season.

Unfortunately, my desire to spend wisely on a well-made piece of clothing often morphs into a fear of spending anything.

So today, I’m feeling the fatigue. I feel like I don’t have any clothes to show you, and if I did, I probably wouldn’t find the time to take pictures of them. (Okay, I did get new socks a while back. So here is a late-night picture of my PACT socks.)

I just need to tell you where I am right now, because part of this blog — and part of living fairly — is busting open those ideas of perfection and showing real life.

So real life right now is that I’m tired. I’m struggling to post here. I’ll be back at it eventually, but for now, I’m going to bed.
