Exercise balances my mood, keeps me healthy, and makes up for all that sugar I consume (kidding…..mostly…..). Until recently, though, my workout uniform consisted of huge, raggedy yoga pants plus oversize t-shirts. Let me tell you, dancing and downward-dogging is not easy with all that extra fabric. And with school drop-off, errands, and chores, I might stay in workout gear all day. I needed to move past the baggy, holey clothes and find a more grown-up way to exercise.

You guys know I’m super picky about my clothes, so it took time for me to find ethically made workout apparel that fit my style. NUX’s detailed, made-in-the-USA basics have become a wonderful upgrade to my workout routine.

I love the style of my NUX activewear, but I also love the performance. With moisture-wicking technology and varying levels of compression, it’s what I need for a great workout. The pieces can be a bit pricey, but the company has sales several times a year, and that helps my budget. I did have an issue with some spandex threads breaking on one item after I washed it, but NUX responded quickly and helpfully with a replacement, and I’ve been very happy with the clothes ever since.

So now you know how to upgrade to made-in-the-USA activewear; are you ready to upgrade your workout? Neighborhood Barre Nashville was kind enough to let me use their gorgeous studio for this shoot, and next they’re setting up my Nashville readers with some sweet deals. Watch Beyond the Fried for a Neighborhood Barre giveaway in the next few days!
